Back then the Equator Village Resort served as a space for British Officers on Gan. It was restructured as a Resort in a tasteful way. The beach which is cluttered with pieces of coral stone may not be what one may find elsewhere, however, the house reef makes for good snorkeling and the dive spots on the Addu Atoll are rather spectacular. Those who come for some rest and for some contact to the natives and their life style will surely be satisfied on Gan, though. The Islands in the Addu Atoll are connected to each other, so Island hopping is possible with bicycles and above all - without guides and hence it's and unspoilt experience.
