British Loyality - HistoryThe British Loyality is a 143 meters length tanker wreck which got sunk by a Japanese sub during World War two. Afterwards the ship got lifted, repaired and it was moved to the Addu Atoll. Over there it took another hit coming through the submarine protection net - this time from a German sub. The ship was still afloat and got used as tank storage afterwards but they sunk it after the war inside of the Addu Atoll. SCUBA diving at the wreck of the British LoyalityThe wreck offers ideal living conditions for animals and plants and therefore it makes a rewarding dive spot. Especially the propeller which misses a blade at the top and the corals on the wreck are well worth visiting. The wreck itself probably is the most spectacular one can find at the Maldives. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
